THE CHALLENGES:

A global leader in Automotive collaborated with SyrmaSGS for their innovative mission to develop Battery Management Systems (BMS) for their range of EV’s. This required comprehensive monitoring of cell voltage, temperature, and pack current, addressing functional safety concerns in high-stakes environments as the BMS has to operate for a High Voltage-High Power Scenario (450-600V DC, 260KW). A scalable architecture must be developed to accommodate diverse applications and for their future EVs that utilizes same platform and similar battery capacity. Tackling thermal challenges and implementing safety measures are a key challenge across the industry for enhancing system reliability.

Additionally, functional safety must be met, adhering to ISO 26262 standards for both hardware and firmware.
